Our MSEP partner, Avening Management and Technical Services, LLC (AveningTech), has an opening for a part-time Web Developer to work in Waldorf, Maryland, or to work remotely from other locations (telework). Job Description:- - Provide part time web development and administration support for AveningTech customer websites using open source content management systems (Joomla, Drupal, WordPress, etc.) on remotely hosted LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySql, PHP) platforms. - Graphics background and proficiency in Photoshop, Corel Draw, Illustrator, and others; skills and experience with development tools including Dreamweaver, HTML, JAVA, PHP, CSS, AJAX and others. - Explains open source content management and template approach to customers; - Works with customer to develop graphic design of website; - Builds Website to customer requirements; - Depending on customer desire to assist in content posting and administration, trains customer on use of content management system; - Updates/posts content; - Administers website - installs software updates, performs backups, reviews logs for abnormal activity. Required Qualifications:- - High school diploma. - Associates degree in information technology or similar desired. - Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining websites using content management systems on LAMP platforms. - Additional knowledge/experience with web tools and technologies desired (HTML, CSS, JAVA script, Flash, PHP, AJAX, etc). - Experience developing graphics with Adobe Creative Suite or similar products required.
