Our Mikvah Declaration Last Month Carol and I experienced Our first full Tabernacle. What a joy that was being with new people I had never met before. Family members I will be spending eternity with. During this time we went down to the lake and several of us went through a Mikvah (baptism). Following is the seven declarations we all made together. These declarations are not mandatory but do reflect the commitment that each of us have made. Following the Declaration is an explanation of What the Mikvah symbolizes. I pray you can see the value in these statements. My Mikvah Declaration 1 – It is my desire to make this change from tamei to tahor! 2 – I am ready to bury the “old man!” 3 – Of my own free will, I renounce my citizenship in the kingdoms of this world and HaSatan and sovereignty over myself! 4 – Of my own free will, I choose to be a citizen in the Knigdoms of Elohim! 5 – Of my own free will, I choose to submit myself completely to the ruler ship and authority of Elohim! 6 – Of my own free will, I commit to take on all the responsibilities of being a citizen of the Kingdom of Elohim and to strive to live by Torah, the “teachings and instructions of Yahweh!” 7 – Of my own free will, I choose to take upon myself the names of Yahweh and Yehoshua and commit to walk out the rest of my life in such a way as to bring the Names glory and honor and not shame! What Does Mikvah Symbolize? A change from tamei to tahor Burying the “old man” - coming out to walk in “newness of life”. The renouncing of the kingdoms of this world and HaSatan and self-sovereignty. The acceptance of Citizenship in the Kingdom of Elohim. A commitment to take on all the responsibilities of being a citizen of the Kingdom of Elohim. This is not a symbolic act of being washed clean & set “free” from all masters, but rather it is a symbolic act of being washed clean and changing the Master to whom you serve from self and HaSatan to Elohim.
