Our Mission Families and Communities Keeping Children and Youth Safe, Nurtured and Strong The Agency We are a progressive multi-service child welfare agency committed to service excellence in the provision of child protection, youth justice and early intervention services. Located in the Near North we provide the opportunity to combine the career and lifestyle of your choice. Positions Available – Bilingual Child Welfare Workers Temporary & Permanent / Full-Time Investigation and Assessment Worker: conducts child protection investigations and assesses risk to children and youth in accordance with the CFSA. Child Protection Worker: provide long-term protective services and case management services including the development, implementation and evaluation of case plans, interventions and risk assessment for families in accordance with the CFSA. Child Care Worker: provide case management services to children and youth in the care and custody of the Children’s Aid Society. Foster Care Worker: assess suitability of applicants to provide family based care to children and youth in the care of the Children’s Aid Society; support foster families in their care giving roles; actively participate in recruitment and retention strategies for Foster Families. Adoption Worker: recruit, assess and supports adoption applicants and approved adoption families. Assess suitability of adoption applicants and facilitate placement of children and youth in adoptive homes. Essential qualifications for the above positions are as follows: - Master of Social Work or Bachelor of Social Work. - Consideration will be given to other Social Service qualifications in combination with related experience. - Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search required. - Valid Ontario Driver’s License. - Bilingualism (English/French) is essential. General Skills and Attributes: - Demonstrated understanding and commitment to quality service and best practice. - Ability to think critically within a crisis driven environment. - Adherence to professional code of ethics. - Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problem-solve and be solution focused. - Self-directed with a solid ability to organize, plan, prioritize and multi-task. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Demonstrated computer skills.
