Our Moscow apartment sale is proceeding fast! They looked at the place yesterday, offered the asking price two hours later, put down their deposit with our realtor today, and our realtor expects everything will be done in time that we should completely vacate the place by May 23!! So much to do!! As soon as I finish our taxes, Ill join Volodja in research about packing and shipping, and Ill start letting Moscow friends know about things we need to give away, like my Moscow duplicates of books I also have in Amherst, my wonderful shearling coat (useless in Amherst -- it doesnt get cold enough for it, and I wouldnt be able to drive wearing it (its heavy!), and in Amherst I never need to be simultaneously dressy and prepared to stand outside in -20F weather waiting for a tram!
