Our NY adventure continues. Today we visited two wonderful exhibitions at MoMA: Henri Matisses cut-outs and Toulouse-Lautrec’s posters and prints. I received a visual-artist’s membership at MoMA for one year and am looking forward to many future visits. I felt very nostalgic at the Toulouse-Lautrec’s exhibition: as a child I used to spend hours and hours looking at the albums with reproductions of his works. I learned how to draw from copying his works – his art was a big part of my childhood, so I was moved to see these beloved images in person. After the museum - we had a lovely dinner with my parents at the Ukrainian restaurant not too far from our new apt. And now - back to work – I have a major deadline coming up, so every night I am composing until 5 AM or so.
