Our Parish Mission is coming...Do you ever ask yourself “how can I be a better Catholic, a better Christian? “What can I do outside of attending Mass on Sunday to answer God’s calling to help my fellow man?” Or do you sometime feel that something spiritually is missing from your life? Perhaps these questions may be answered while attending the St. Joseph Parish Mission “Hearts Wide Open”. The Mission will invite you into a lively engagement with the scriptures, the witness of the saints and the spirituality of the Gospels in the hope of lighting a fire of commitment to each person to the church’s mission of healing and mercy. The mission experience will seek to inspire, challenge and engage each person as you are invited to make this worthy commitment. Our Parish Mission will begin on Sunday, December 7, continue on Monday December 8 and conclude on Tuesday, December 9. Each evening, from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, Jack Jezreel, JustFaith Ministries’ founder and director, will focus his talks on connecting the Gospel of Jesus to our everyday lives as Christ’s followers. We invite you to attend the social concerns ministry fair, prior to and following each day’s presentation in the Holy Family Center. Participating in the fair are the Social Concerns Commission of St. Joseph’s, the Diocese and JustFaith. Please take this opportunity to speak with each of the participants as they share their faith based experiences. Light refreshments will be served following each evening’s presentation and during the ministry fair. Both inspiring and challenging, Jack can speak a vision of how our parish can embrace the invitation of Jesus to a deeper faith, a wider love, and a more life-giving path.
