This is the death that we are most familiar with as we see it daily in our daily lives. This is the death we see all around us. We see people grow old. We see the leaves turn brown and die. We see thing rust. We even see our own mortality with our own physical death. We, our soul, keeps living after physical death. Many of us are so focused on the physical death, but it is the soul that needs to be cared for first. We should not be scared of physical death. Physical death does not kill the soul and it does not separate us from God (Matthew 10:28, And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.).
