Our Pro Mod Winner was Gary Courtier on our NEOPMA event Saturday. His car suffered from a massive fire on the final run, but crossed the finish line first. The heroism of this team to still come together, and take a winner circle picture after a devastating incident, is what everyone in the racing community commends them for. This team, is respected by many, including everyone at Capitol Raceway, for the heart they have toward each other, and leadership shown minutes after an unfortunate situation. As I sat and watched this team take their picture, I couldnt even begin to imagine what they are feeling. Everyone was in awe to see the strong foundation of this team, and the support between them, to smile at each other and know they will get thru this together. At that point, everyone knew it was the true winners getting their picture taken! This team atmosphere, is what racing was founded on!
