Our Road is in bad shape, Now death trap.- Residents cries out. By Vox Populi News. The people of Oke-Oyi/Ilaga/Lanwa community in Ilorin East local government area begs the kwara state government to fulfil it electoral promises made to the residents of the ditto community while campaigning that their road will be fixed if they were able to earn their votes. They said the road was built by a prominent Ilorin business man, Orilowo Ejigbo, in 1983 during the Shehu Shagari regime and since then the road had suffered total negligence and had turn death trap for motorists plying this axis. They call for the intervention of the state government in fixing this road and also begs for power supply to allow them access to good living as well as to boost their economic growth. They said they have been dwelling on mere promise since the government of the immediate past governor Bukola Saraki and his predecessor, late Alhaji Muhammed Lawal to give them good road and power supply. They urge the governor Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed, to fulfil his promise as this will earn him their support if he wish to re contest as the governor of the state at the forthcoming general election in 2015.-Vox Populi News.
