Our Son Hon Kenneth Marende should Lecture Speaker Justin Muturi! Love him or hate him, former speaker Kenneth Otiato Marende remains exceptional speaker since independence. During his tenure, Mr. Marende upheld the integrity of the house. With his Solomonic wisdom he neither wavered nor wobbled. Even when he would have rightfully made rulings in favor of his party ODM, he maintained neutrality and in the process put together the tribes we call Kenya. During his stint, Marende upheld freedom of the press in parliament precinct. He acknowledged and appreciated ALL members of parliament regardless of their political affiliations. Dont get me wrong. Marende had his own personal and professional failings just like each one of us. But in the bigger picture, he performed excellent, and most Kenyans are proud of his tenure. Sadly, upon Mr. Marendes exit, a slow-thinking speaker called Justin Muturi entered, So far, Mr. Muturi has gone down in history as the worst speaker since independence. He is biased in his moderation. He lacks sharp legal mindset to balance between national interest versus Uhuru/Jubilee interests. Under Muturis speakership, freedom of the press in parliament has been relegated. Moreover, hes dictatorial yet lacking coherent in his thought process. His verbal communication skills are wanting. He struggles to articulate himself. As a Christmas gift, our son Marende should call Muturi and give him a lecture on how to become an exceptional speaker. What are your thoughts?
