Our Sunday discussion at the School of Jesus, Dec. 14, 2014, Topic: Kristo! The Evolution of Himself! John 1:1-3, 14; Phil. 2:5-11 Intro. We use the most relevant term or concept most often with us here at the School of Jesus..term that generally can be understood by our students in the academe! Hence, Kristo: The Evolution of Himself... I. The General Concept in the Belief of God! A. The Western concept: The Cosmic Supreme Being! -Zeus to the Greeks is the most supreme being, the King of the gods and husband of Hera... B. The Eastrn concept Mithras a Persian god! Originated from the Indo-Iranian god of light. Mithra became early Christianitys most serious rival as the mystery cult rapidly spread from Syria and Anatolia throughout Mediterranean and into Gaul and Britain.... C. Etc...In the Philippines, we have the spirits mostly dwelling on trees or perhaps on shrubs! Makaako is perhaps just a borrowed concept parallel to the Zeus known as the King of the gods...which in our case Maka Ako, may have some subjects, like Taglugar, Tamawo, Enkanto...etc. D. The Hebrews: YHWH....The Elohim Creator of the Universe, Genesis 1:1 II. The Rational Evolution of Kristo, The Logos A. The Logos...is Johns use of the term John 1:1-3, 14, to synchronize with the Platonic, Aristotelean and by the Stoics classical philosophy! B. The Word, is the Hebrew concept that in every Word there is Wisdom. -King Solomon use this as a way of life, like in Proverbs 1:20,21, Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks! C. Paul use it as the Logos to the the Greeks and a Personal Revelation of God to Kristo, I Cor. 1:24, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. III. The Epistemological Evolution of Kristo, Phil. 2:5-1; John 1:14 A. Phil. 2:6, who, though he was in the FORM OF GOD...v. 7, he took the FORM OF A SLAVE... the amazing and striking concept with...let this MIND BE IN YOU..,though he was in the FORM OF GOD (Metaphysical)...TOOK THE FORM OF A SERVANT....AND IN FASHION AS MAN! (Objectively personal reality)... B. John 1:14, And the Word BECAME FLESH....in Gk. Logos egeneto sarx, meaning, the becoming spontaneous scientific process of himself from the way the Holy Spirit operated inside the Womans womb as an independent Son of God or the Begotten God of himself in full. Conclusion: The role of Mary as a woman....is purely Theotokos or Bearer of God But not having biological, physiological and genetical role with Kristo, The Second Adam.
