Our Thanksgiving was chaotic--as usual, but filled with laughter. I prepared the mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes on Wednesday, which helped keep the craziness down to a minimum. I had no intention of adding to my work load by making pies. So everyone brought pies. We had so many pies we wound up giving them away. Pies became party favors--sort of. :-) I wrenched a muscle in my back so I started off Thanksgiving Day in pain. Tylenol helped and so did heat, but I did worry about being able to pull everything together. My anxiety was needless for all went well despite one mini-crisis where the downstairs toilet overflowed. However, hubby, Daughter #1, and I handled the small crisis with aplomb. After all, in the past weve had casseroles explode in the oven. Did you enjoy a calm and peaceful Thanksgiving? Or was it noisy and chaotic like ours?
