Our #TrainerTip comes from Coach Rusty this week. “To ensure a good starting position in the shoulder press, the bar should rest across the shoulders with a full grip just outside the shoulders. The elbows should be slightly in front of the bar, making the forearms vertical. The bar path will follow that of the forearms; if the elbows are too far forward, the bar will drive towards the chin, forcing the body to arch backwards to compensate. Elbows behind the bar will create forward movement, rather than pushing vertically. Work on shoulder and wrist mobility to obtain a great start to the press!” Check out this video for mobility exercises! https://youtube/watch?v=xE4N6G4xJHU
