Our Triune God: The Trinity Mankind was created in the image and likeness of God. Because of this, we are beings of three parts: spirit, soul, and body. We serve God, The Father, Who is three persons in one: God, the Father; Jesus, the Son; and the Holy Spirit. Why is there so much controversy among other religions, other than Christianity, about whether Jesus (Yeshua) is Gods Son? Jesus made Himself very clear on this fact when addressing people. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are gods? If He (God) called them gods, to whom the word of God came, and Scripture cannot be set aside, what about the One (Yeshua) (Jesus) Whom the Father set apart as His very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse Me of blasphemy because I said, I am Gods Son? Do not believe Me unless I do the works of my Father. But, if I do them, even though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in Me (Jesus) (Yeshua), and I in the Father. John 10:34-38 (NIV). As Christians, we have God as three persons living in us as the Holy Spirit. I said, You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High. Psalms 82:6 (NIV). Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and my Father will love him, and We will come unto him, and make Our abode with him. John 14:23 (KJV). You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh; but, are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. Romans 8:9 (NIV). God manifested Himself to the world in the personage of Jesus (Yeshua). Jesus said: If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father (God). God is a Spirit; so, for Him to be seen, He showed the world His likeness through His Son, Jesus. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth. John 4:24 (NIV). Jesus said that even the words that He spoke came from God. Jesus answered, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through Me. If you really know Me, you will know my Father, as well. From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him. Philip said, Lord, show us the Father; and that will be enough for us. Jesus answered: Dont you know Me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say, Show us the Father? Dont you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? The words I say to you, I do not speak on My own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in Me, Who is doing His work. Believe Me when I say that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me; or, at least, believe on the evidence of the works themselves. John 14:6-11 (NIV). We are temples of the Living God, when we have this treasure of the Holy Spirit in us. For God, Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of Gods glory displayed in the face of Christ. But, we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God; and not from us. 2 Corinthians 4:6-7 (NIV). We should radiate the love of God to others by the very virtue of the fact that God lives in us. To them (the Lords people), God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. Colossians 1:27-28 (NIV). We have, then: God, the Father; God, the Son (Yeshua) (Jesus); and God, the Holy Spirit (Christ in us) living in us as Christians. Unbelief in Gods only Son will result in eternal damnation, unless repented of during this Day of Grace. Whoever believes in Him (Jesus) is not condemned; but, whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of Gods One and Only Son (Yeshua) (Jesus). John 3:18 (NIV). Before long, the world will not see Me (Jesus) anymore; but, you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day, you will realize that I am in my Father; and you are in Me, and I am in you. John 14:19-20 (NIV). Whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about His Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son (Jesus) (Yeshua). Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:10-13 (NIV). Do You Believe? Your eternal destiny hangs in the balance! Now is the day of salvation! As Gods co-workers, we urge you not to receive Gods grace in vain. For He (God) says, In the time of My favor, I heard you; and in the day of salvation, I helped you. I tell you, now is the time of Gods favor, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV).
