Our adventures in VietNam continue. We spent a day and a half on a boat cruise in Halong Bay. Stunningly beautiful! Its such a simple life here. Average salary is $3,000 a year. Its hard to imagine living on that. There is a push to move the fisherman off the water, many whose families have lived on the water for generations, they know no other life, are poorly educated and things like cell phones, IPads or computers are beyond their comprehension. The incentive is a free education for any of their children. Meanwhile, I admit, after two days with no internet connection I could hardly wait to get off the plane we took to Hue and get to our hotel for WiFi connection. Maybe the Vietnamese people are the smart ones!
