Our apparent uniqueness as human beings is an illusion, a - TopicsExpress

Our apparent uniqueness as human beings is an illusion, a reflection of the level of magnification with which we look at ourselves. Heres what I mean. Lets say that you are looking at a single human being from the International Space Station. That individual will appear to simply be a part of the larger landscape. Zoom in a little closer and they are part of the mass of humanity by which they are surrounded. A little closer, and you can begin to pick out individual characteristics that differentiate them from the others around them. But this is the only level of magnification at which uniqueness appears to exist. Continue to zoom in on the individual and they become a collection of organs and cells and eventually atoms and subatomic particles that are identical to the composition of every other human being. So we can see that uniqueness only exists at the level in which we normally sense and perceive the world. It is a function of the way in which our brains have evolved on this particular planet. These apparent individual differences are really quite superficial. Further, at the level of Consciousness, where there is no separation, there is no uniqueness at ANY level. All is ONE.
