Our baby began to struggle last night to eat and had a very rough time sleeping. At one point I found him in a corner disoriented and he began to pant heavily I knew he was in pain and I knew he was starting to let go. He stopped sleeping with me two nights ago and this morning he crawled up to my chest and laid there for a couple hours snuggling against me and I believe that was Gods final gift to me and I knew that it was time...he wouldnt eat anything this morning and he lost control of his bodily functions. I laid on the floor with him and his breathing was very slow. I called our Vet and he came and ended his suffering with him on my lap lying on our bed with his blanket. Our hearts are very sad but I truly loved my Bertsie so much that I could not bear for him to suffer. Our baby is now resting in peace... Bert G. Povich born July 2009 found in a box along route 30 and taken to BCHS adopted by us October 21, 2009 lived an amazing life full of so much love, treats, snuggles, adventures, following his Momma around everywhere, tricking Daddy that he had to pee in the middle of the night to take his place in bed, many many hikes at Canoe Creek and soo much more...to have been diagnosed with lymphoma exactly two weeks ago today....passing out of this life December 9, 2014 at 12:45 pm....we will ALWAYS LOVE YOU baby boy.
