Our band is comprised of good friends. We always have each others backs. We support each other in all of our musical and life endeavors. Our circle of friends has always been tight. Ghost Thrower had the pleasure of playing shows 3 awesome shows this weekend to celebrate our new record. The one phrase I heard the most (in so many words) was something along the lines of I dont want to sound dumb because I know were good friends but your new record is great. and it kind of bummed me out. When I was younger, it was always taboo to listen to your friends bands outside of a show. If your car stereo was jamming a buddys band, you were called a groupie. Maybe its a matter of age, or maybe its where the world used to be. All of my friends are artists to some extent. I appreciate their art as much as I appreciate them being in my life. I think we should all support our friends as artists as much as we do as friends. If your friend makes music, enjoy it. Love it. I sing along to my friends bands when I see them play. I sing along in my car when I put their songs on. I hum along when listening to my iPod. I always support them because theyre artists and I genuinely like their art. Sometimes I air drum to their tunes and Im not even a good drummer. At all.
