Our beautiful daughter is having her third brain surgery this morning in San Antonio to remove a pesky tumor that keeps returning. More aggressive treatment follows. Please pray for Caray and then read this marvelous note she posted on her Facebook page before heading for the hospital. Before my feet hit the floor...... Its here, surgery day, brain surgery day, good news I have one, may not have always used it, but never less I have one. This last week has been busy, full of emotions, outpouring of love, concern and testaments of the amazing people God has surrounded me with. So many people have asked me how I can stay so upbeat and positive. I assure them Im not always in that place but I stay there more than the dumps. My explanation is two fold: first what choice do I have? Its totally out of my control and second: thats where God comes in, if I said that first which it is you may think its like finding Jesus in prison, so I told you the vulnerable part first to follow up to tell you that Jesus has always been here and woven in the peace that passes even my understanding through this! It sucks! Make no mistake of that! Im not jumping up like I do when Im about to go shoe shopping. Im scared, i hate this! But Im finding that when you come to a place where god is all you have , you find hes all you need! Chasing anything else is like chasing the wind! Something I have been very guilty of! God has given me amazing parents and children and more friends than I deserve. They are my earthly support and cheerleaders. But he also gave me his son , who died for me, rose again for me and lives so that I can face tomorrow with a hope that gives me joy in my tomorrows what ever they may be! Prayers for my surgeon, my family and my healing and that we can get this and knock it out once and for all! thou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, when the shadows come and darkness falls, he giveth perfect peace I believe that, I claim that and its real for me!
