Our beloved Prophet (s) said: إِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّه وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ ألاَ وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ There is a piece of flesh in the body that, if it is good the whole body is good, and if it is bad the whole body is bad: it is the heart. (Bukhari and Muslim) If your heart is strong, you can live; even if you are sick or in a coma. But if the heart stops beating, you would die. So emphasis is on the heart and other parts of the body, as the Prophet (s) said: ما وسعني سمائي ولا أرضي ووسعني قلب عبدي المؤمنNeither My Heavens nor My Earth contain Me, but the heart of My believing servant contains Me. (Hadeeth Qudsee)
