Our biggest problem, and one that we so blithely ignore and refuse to acknowledge, is our HUGE overpopulation that devalues us as humans. We have more than twice the population density of China. The world sees us in the same way we see people from Bihar or UP: a huge mob of dirty, uncouth specimens who prowl the streets in large gangs looking for something to grab, who ogle shamelessly at women, who enjoy living in squalor, who breed recklessly and who squat anywhere and do anything to make money and send it home, and who overwhelm the local culture with their uncouthness. In other words, we are the Biharis of the planet. Let us understand simple economics: There is NO WAY we can create so many meaningful jobs for so many unskilled and undisciplined people, and NO WAY their products and services are going to be purchased by anyone. If we have any sense, we will move into damage control mode and actively propagate family planning and support services and teach people the economics of bringing up children with some quality of life.
