Our blog correspondent Linnet writes about how a street harasser made her miss out on an important interview... and she wonders how many other people miss out on opportunities because of street harassers. Since she had politely said hello back to this harasser, she vowed in the future that I would never say hello back to anybody in town whom I have no intention of holding a conversation with. That is my way of handling street harassment, stay focused on where I am going. Ignore. Ignore and ignore. It is sad that his is what she -- and so many others -- feel she must resort to doing.
