Our boy continues to have a rough go. Ironically, we seem to have the sweetest and most poignant conversations in the emergency room. It is quiet place and I think it gives us time to reflect on the good that has strategically weaved its way into the struggles hes faced lately. Last night/early this morning was no exception. More tests are in his future but as James so eloquently pointed out last night, it is not as bad as it could be. This has been a challenging year (to say the least) but his father and sisters and I remain grateful for his attitude. James has had his dark days, no question, but they are overshadowed by the many light ones where the silver linings shine brightly through. I raise my head to the sky again this morning and thank God for good doctors, a supportive workplace and my wonderful family. One doesnt have to wait for Christmas for the important gifts.
