Our buddy, NERO, a 3 year old, male, pit bull, who has been in a foster home (Richmond, VA) coming up on a year now, was treated to a Canine Adventure walk (canineadventure.net) by our friends at Canine Adventure and a generous sponsor (thanks, Buck!). We may be biased, but we think hes pretty handsome and deserving of a home of his own. Below is the summary of his walk today from his walker, Gabrielle. If anyone is interested in Nero, please email us at [email protected]. Let me start by thanking you, not only for sponsoring a hike for a rescued pup, but for fostering. Youre a hero to sweet Nero and all the dogs like him. Im so happy I had the privilege of meeting your beautiful foster boy and taking him out for an adventure. We had a lot of fun at Rockwood Park today! It was so icy, and even though Nero pulled on his leash a little bit, he never pulled me down, and seemed to understand why we were going slow at times. He would check in with me, his big eyes steadily gazing at me, waiting to hear that it was okay to charge ahead. Hes a high energy boy, and we had so much fun exploring. I could see that hes really intelligent. Nero really enjoyed exploring the more woodsy areas of the park. He has an adventurers soul! We only saw one other person and his dog at the park. I could tell Nero wanted to play! He cried when the other dog walked away. Hes such a big baby! No worries though, he was all smiles once w got going again. We had such a good time exploring the park, and I hope he was tired when he got home. He sat for treats and then went back in his crate. I was so impressed with his manners!
