Our campaign got a huge boost on Tuesday when Brad Rutherford decided to drop out of the nomination race and join my camp. He ran a good clean campaign and has a great future in politics and our Conservative party. An Edmonton police officer from a prominent Alberta media and political family, Brad is an outstanding young man who is making a positive difference in our community in all kinds of ways. Im very pleased and grateful to have his endorsement and I look forward to working with him and his supporters during the nomination contest and in the 2015 election campaign. Weve got tremendous momentum now, with support pouring in from communities all over Edmonton West. Im hearing that Conservatives really appreciate my long history of volunteering for our party and our cause, my professional experience and success in the private sector from Victoria to St. Johns, my commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards of public service, and, especially, the fact that Im not a professional politician out campaigning for a new job. Thank you all for putting your trust and and faith in me. With your continuing support and encouragement, were going to win the Edmonton-West Conservative nomination and provide the citizens of our great riding with the authentic and honourable Conservative representation in Ottawa they want and deserve.
