Our car is officially late (shipped 3 July from Spang to Baltimore...RDD was last Friday), so I called the customer service call center today. The lady was nice enough; she took down my info and told me that someone from the investigative branch would be in touch ASAP. I got an email confirmation shortly thereafter with the details Id provided her....except that she annotated my originating VPC incorrectly (Spangdahlem apparently sounds a long like Grafenwoehr). Called USAA a little while later; I filed my claim and had a rental car reservation in about 10 minutes. Thank goodness for the support of USAA during this mess.
