Our children are not being told enough how special they are. They are not being told enough that they can be whomever they chose to be, which is very sad, very sad. Our children are our future and they need to be equipped with the right tools to succeed in life. If they are not offered a fair chance to do better and achieve better, how on earth can they do better? What will our future generation look like? I dont know about you all, but I want my children to know they are the future and they know they can be whatever they chose to be. As their mother, a single mother, I have always told them those exact words. And, although things were not easy for us, we have survived and my children are truly blessed and gifted. Dont give up on our children they need us to pave the way for them, so stand up and do your part in a real way. There is no time for half-stepping anymore. Take your place as parents...take your children back. If the streets are raising your children, go out there and get your children. If you are one of those parents who are afraid of their children, let me tell you a little secret...you only need to lose you mind once to let them know who is running things. Because if they know they can get away with, what do you expect them to do? They are definitely going to try you. God will make a way out of no way. All you have to do is believe and have faith. Give your children a chance to be something great. God has already put their gift down inside of them so do your part to help them bring it out. Thats your job as their mother, father, grandfather, grandmother, aunt, uncle, cousin, the list goes on. Felt the need to share these words they were weighing heavy on my heart. ~ Sherrie LeShell ~
