Our choice for this gorgeous day! Englands musical climate in 1970 - TopicsExpress

Our choice for this gorgeous day! Englands musical climate in 1970 had every young musician racing to out psych, out flash, out heavy one another. Out of seemingly nowhere comes a bunch of confident 19 year olds with a deep, fascinatingly original and non-derivative understanding of the blues. A brilliant combination of grit, power and soul: Tight sparse drums, fluid bass, that treble drenched wail from now deceased guitar legend Paul Kossoff. But the beautiful beast is Paul Rodgers, wailing like tomorrow may never come. Yes, theyd morph into Bad Company, and yes they wrote a very overplayed song as Free called All Right Now. On this cut, they give it all heart.
