Our church St. John Vianney hosted dinner for approx 250 homeless people tonight. Not only did they provide a warm meal, they had trailers for hot showers, cots to rest on and four full classrooms of used clothes for people to take. All the food and clothes were provided/donated by the people of the parish. Sergio, the girls and I helped serve dinner there tonight as part of a service project for the kids CCD class. My point of this long post is that my kids seemed to have learned a lot. They talked about how it made them happy to see other people happy and thankful when they passed them the food. They also talked about how they want to do it again. I loved seeing not only my family but the other families in the church coming together to help others. Very impressive and heart warming. Glad we participated and we will do it again:)
