Our church partners in South Sudan have suffered through six months of brutal civil war. Yesterday, South Sudanese President Salva Kiir and rebel leader Riek Machar agreed to form a transitional government. The agreement between the two sides offers hope for those suffering, but support from the U.S. is essential for it to succeed. You can ask our government to push for for robust peacekeeping, apply diplomatic pressure and demand accountability. The lives of millions in South Sudan are in the balance. One way to ask our government to support peace in South Sudan is to send a letter through United to End Genocide. See link below.
