Our collegues published a paper in Astrophysical Journal IF=6.280 This paper concerns the recently discovered interstellar molecules HNCS and NCSH, and their most likely precursors, the H2NCS+ and HNCSH+ cations. The synthesis of these species within galactic gas clouds has been discussed on theoretical grounds. Previously presented theory have been revisited and largely falsified; the analysis of potential energy surfaces has pinpointed the relevant chemical processes, and the application of a standard astrochemical kinetic model, appended with 7 sulfur-bearing molecules and 48 reactions, has led to a qualitative agreement with the existing observational data. Quantum chemical predictions of spectroscopic parameters were used to discuss the prospects for future detection of as yet unobserved cationic precursors. Marcin, Robert our sincere congratulations.
