Our current social and economic systems are based on competition, and reward selfishness. Our materialistic ethos has resulted in a state of psychological depression for hundreds of millions of people who feel the ultimate emptiness of this way of life.Our morbid fear of dying has led us to a way of death instead of a way of life. People are in a sort of cultural trance state, cut off from our roots and closed off to the healing magic of our own open senses in communication with the natural world., we wither and die inside. These old systems will pass away because they no longer serve, and new systems will emerge from our efforts to find a better way; an actual way of life. We need to encourage each other to encourage each other, to help each other to help each other. Each of us has opportunities every day to work towards changing our system towards cooperation and generosity. The front lines of the evolutionary struggle for a better future run through all of our minds and hearts. Keep on keeping on, the world depends on you and your efforts are not in vain. - Will Bason
