Our day began early when Nathan refused to go back down after his 6 am wakeup and Matt insisted on getting out of bed just minutes later despite my attempts to persuade him it wasnt time yet. So, after about 45 minutes of trying everything to get Nathan asleep I gave up and left the room to see if hed settle himself after a few minutes without my attention. Once I left the room, Matt came over to the crib and said Shhh, Nathan, dont cry. You just need to sleep. You wont work right if you dont get enough sleep. Thats why mommy is telling you to lie down. Then he asked if Nathan wanted a book (which got a YEAH!!), and proceeded to get one from the bookshelf and read it to Nathan (and then one more and one more until I returned). We left their bedroom and walked to the front window to find snow coming down and Matt asked to go outside. So I put snow suits and boots over their PJs and we got out before the plows. After about 45 min of sledding, singing, and snowballs, we came inside. We hung up our soaked snow gear, enjoyed a fun, warm bath, got on fresh, dry clothes, and finally sat down to breakfast... right about the time Daddy got out of bed!
