Our day started at 8:30 this morning with half the team showing up late (sorry guys, my bad). Nevertheless, we dispensed with Immanuel with ease. This brought on Hopevale C and they never had a chance. Next up was Saginaw Valley Naz. They thought they owned us. They were confident that this was an easy win to advance into the playoffs. They were wrong! We went into our only break of the day undefeated and #1 in our pool. Our semifinals matchup was with the younger and faster Hopevale E. They took advantage of an early rally and scored 5 on us in the 1st inning and 3 the inning after that....and that was all they would see as we blew past them to get to the championship game!! No surprise that we would be facing our old nemesis, Hopevale V. We just beat them last Thursday and here we are facing them for the title! They had done the same as us...undefeated for the day. They were hungry for revenge on the loss they had so recently suffered at our home field. No doubt, they are a strong team. Game 1 in the best of 3 series ended with them never enjoying a lead and we took the advantage and are one step closer to claiming the title!!! To all our friends and fans, we would love to see you all cheer us on the Monday evening at 6pm at Amelith Field #1 as we are play the final game of the season and series. Great playing today guys. The Big Red Machine is still rollin...just one more win till we claim the Championship!!!
