Our dear friends let me introduce you our own farm Finca Beti in Santa Barbara region in Honduras. This farm is next door neighbour of Finca La Huerta which was no 1 COE winner 2013. Today i spent full day with producers, cuppers, and soil experts looking where to plant what veriatal. this is amazing region maturation here is approximately 10 months from flowering to ripening. Microclimate is special and soil is volcanic and soft. Cloud cover is amazing and water is spring from top of mountain in forest. This is perfect condition for exotic coffees. Finca beti is 11 hectares at the moment we have production of 7 hectares of winning catuai veriatal only 4 years old, Red Burbon and also Pacamara. This november we are planting geisha Veriatal, Laurina and also Maracatura possible some Ethiopian Veriatals also . My idea with this farm is to be able to do extreme experiments and be able to produce unique and exotic coffees an share this with our customers in Australia. but to me more importantly my vision is to create safe sustainable and famous coffee community. This will be challenging task but i am looking forward to start working with other producers in community to start educating how to pick , process and dry coffees better. and also to help them to market their coffees and be able to sell them for better prices.
