Our deepest sympathy is extended to the families of Mr. Rodger Lamar NeeSmith....... Mr. Rodger Lamar NeeSmith, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home in the Cedar Crossing Community on June 14, 2013, after a long illness. A lifelong resident of Cedar Crossing, Mr. NeeSmith was preceded in death by his mother, Sara Bridges NeeSmith; father, J. Hall NeeSmith; and a brother Jimmy NeeSmith. He attended Toombs Central School, and was employed with NeeSmith Timber Company until becoming permanently disabled. He was a member of Cedar Crossing Baptist Church. Mr. NeeSmith is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Betty Ann Rollins NeeSmith, two sons Rodney and Michael, both of Cedar Crossing; one sister Elaine Mincey Arnold of Athens, and one brother Garry R. NeeSmith of Johnson Corner. The Graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 2:00 pm in the Cedar Crossing Church of God Cemetery with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Crossing Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 157, Uvalda GA 30473.
