Our devotion for today Title : choice Text : Deutronomy 30:19 19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live. Amem! Choice is one of the powerful tools God gave to mankind. Day in and day out we exercise the power of choice in so many ways. For instance, we have the power to choose the kind of God we want to worship, the kind of school we wannt to go, the profession or job we want to do, the kind of friends we want to have, the man or woman we want to marry, we even have the power to choose where to spend eternity, either Heaven or hell. But one area that we cant exercise our power of choice is the kind of parents or family we would belong to. I hope you agree with me? Even though God has power over everything, when it comes to the power of choice God would not interfere in our decision making as to what to choose or not. He will only do so when we give Him the chance to do so. God loves us so much and He would always wish we would allow Him to be our focal point whenever we are to make a choice in our lives. But He can only do so when we give Him the green light. if he does not love us that much He would not have sent His only begotten son to come and die for us. Most a times the choices we make are our five senses( The eyes, nose, ears, mouth and the skin.) More often than not this senses leads us to nothing but pain, disappointment and regret. It is always a wise to submit every decision concerning any choice we have to make into the hands of the lord for directions. Because He sees what we do not see feels what we dont feel and knows what we dont know. The above scripture show us that in life the choices we make can either lead us to a curse or a blessing, life or death. And it is the wish of God that we would choose life and blessings. And there is no other way we can do this but by allowing and making God the center of choices or decisions. Amen! Lets pray God almighty we grateful for grace and mercies you have showered on us. Father we submit our any decision or choice that we are making or about to make into your hands. For it is you alone who can direct our paths towards life and blessings. We thank you for an answered prayer. In Jesus name we pray. Amen! See you at church.
