Our family lost a remarkable man this week. He was a soldier in World War 2 and rarely spoke about the horrific things he had experienced. He shared some experiences with us once for a project Charlie had in school. He spoke so humbly that we were amazed when he described being part of the D-Day landings. He was in the second wave of troops and told us a little bit about the scenes he witnessed. He also told us about the years he spent in Hong Kong after the war helping to rebuild the country. He had a remarkable life and will be missed. Rest in peace Uncle Harry xx
