Our family planned to go to a sports pub and watch the Ducks play - TopicsExpress

Our family planned to go to a sports pub and watch the Ducks play Ohio State yesterday, but as the day progressed I began to feel worse and worse. When Julia and Kyle arrived to pick me up I told her I felt too awful to go, and told them to go ahead. They did, joining John, Josh,Dustin, Emily and several of our other good friends. They had fun even though the Ducks lost. Part way through the evening Kyle got a violent headache and said his tummy hurt. Emily took him home. By the time she got home, later, Julia had it too. All three of us have been miserable for the past 24 hours but were doing better now. Not good -- just better. I did get some work done on the new Mystic Creek book, but not nearly as much as I had planned. Buddy and Talili are getting used to the new and much smaller quarters. They arent quite sure what is going on, but the people they love are all around them, and they have begun to relax. Doll Face continues to improve. She is trying to use her leg, and shes getting...well, okay, I admit it, shes getting spoiled. When she sees one of us, she lets us know that Goodies are Expected and we will please produce them right now. She goes for the fresh spinach leaves first, then the cracked corn, then the table scraps (sorted), and then the high-protein chicken feed. Her feathers are a lustrous white, her comb is a deep red, and her eyes are bright and alert. She is determined that not a single crumb will get past her. And while I hesitate to mention it...my burking is coming along very well. Doll Face and I had a lengthy conversation today. I havent a clue what I said, but she seemed to enjoy it, and she burked and clucked and cooed right back at me.
