Our family was blessed with some amazing pianists, my grandmother, my great-aunts Bert and Cliff (yep, those really were their real names), Bud Bays Aunt Glenda..all had their own unique and inimitable style. I could be down the street from my grandmothers house on South St. on the rare occasion when Aunt Bert or Cliff came to visit, hear music and know without a doubt which sister was playing. They are all gone now and I am blessed with lots of guitar playing around the house but nobody on keys. When Billy Earheart segued into this tune in the studio last year while warming up the Steinway it truly was music to my ears and brought back so many great memories.
