Our fieldtrip today was to The Agricultural and Industrial Museum in York and the Colonial Complex, Court House, General Gates House and the Golden Plough Tavern. A special Discovery Days was held today. The kids LOVED it. Have to admit I wasnt too sure the reception this trip would get compared to the zoo, ballgame etc. So many told us this was their favorite fieldtrip this summer. They had about 10 different stations around the Colonial Complex for the kids to experience life in the colonial days in York. Candle making, writing with a quill pen, rope making, playing colonial time period games etc. If you get the chance to visit these places I think you will love it, the kids sure did. I was so happy when one of my kiddos told me I planned awesome fieldtrips :).
