Our first Oyler Ancestor that came to America, Conrad Oyler, came to Pennsylvania from Germany in 1729. This information was given to us in the family history book, Five Generations of Mormonism, Cleo Grigg Johnson. It said that Conrad Oyler came with a group of followers of Alexander Mack who were Baptists or Dunkers with about 30 families on the Ship Allen with James Craig, Master. It also said that his name was listed as Conrat Iller with four females, Margaret, Elizabeth, Maria and Catherine.
