Our first experience with Dr. Umbachs office was a phone call to Mindi. She was extremely upbeat, professional and made us feel so comfortable! A couple of days later, we attended a Wednesday evening seminar hosted by Dr. Umbach. He was extremely thorough. It was so apparent to us that evening that he truly cares about his patients! He even brought his entire team into the room to introduce them and have a few of them share their own success stories. No one ever pushed, or tried to sell us anything! It was all about educating us on the procedures available and answering any questions we had. Prior to attending the seminar, my husband and I did hours of research online. We read countless wonderful reviews about Dr. Umbach and his team... As a matter fact, we originally heard about Dr. Umbach through a good friend of ours that had the Gastric Sleeve procedure performed in April and highly recommended him (by the way, she looks and feels fantastic!). We were sold! That evening we met with Mindi and and booked our surgeries. Both my husband and I had surgery on 10/8/14, less than three weeks after that initial seminar/class. Its been just under two weeks since our surgery. Ive lost 27 pounds so far and my husband has lost 30. For years, my woke up to a migraine every morning. He has not had a single one since we started our 2 week pre-op diet. Although we have just begun our weight-loss journey, were both so amazed at how great we already feel! I would recommend Dr. Umbach to anyone who is considering bariatric surgery! Its amazing how organized, professional and friendly he and his staff are! Mindi was especially awesome! She was even by our bedside just before and just after our surgeries, checking up on us ;) One of the nicest things about this entire experience as that we were never judged and were made to feel like part of the family there!
