Our first official press release... its awesome!!! Scheduled for national distribution tomorrow... Let the hate begin nationally/continue here locally.... LOL! Always hard for a new band to break into the national scene. Robson and I got to interview Ludovico Technique last night for BlankTV and he expressed similar sentiments about how difficult the environment is for up and coming artists. He called it a culture of self-imposed cloning. Where we are afraid to be ourselves out of fear of criticism. I call it a culture of Musical Bigotry. So we mimic what we think is safe musically. Aside from being true in every music genre, I think its especially true in the metal. Oh these guys suck because they dont do blast beats, I dont like the fact that they have clean singing, so they suck, oh these guys suck because they scream; that isnt music. Its either not heavy enough or not coherent enough. Too fast or too slow (oh and if its fast its gotta have blast beats or it still sucks).... Too much screaming or too much clean singing.... Its too simple or too complicated.... F*ck the musical bigots, we are just trying to be ourselves and play what we enjoy.
