Our first time at Sibu! It is a small Malaysian town in the state of Sarawak. A place we have never would have known had we not been invited by the kind and generous people like Jason and Ying (and their families) We had an awesome time getting to know the couple and their crowd. Not to mention having nice food and great massages! They went to the same school whilst growing up in Sibu but they parted ways when Ying went to Melbourne and Jason went to Hobart but faith has a way to meet them back together and they are not going to be separated anymore. The wedding ceremony was at a methodist church and reception at the great Kingwood hotel by the river. There was a lot of new traditions that I encountered such as how everyone has to eat a lot of noodles every time and how the tea ceremony had no tea involved :P The grand entrance was also very fun with Ying’s colleagues did an interpretation of the JK wedding ceremony entrance which they did splendidly.. but the best moment for me was when I saw Jason’s expression when he saw Ying for the first time as she was walking down the stairs with her dad. Priceless.. absolutely priceless…. Jason and Ying, thank you so much for just being so kind.. and I mean… super kind… even during our little “incident” hahaha… I just want to let you know how much we are inspired by your kindness and your generosity. We will never forget our experience getting to know you and all the things we got to do in Sibu. We pray for everlasting love and a purposeful marriage for you both. God bless you and your family and hopefully we get to meet again soon!
