Our first wave of Confirmands are being Confirmed at Christ Church, Winnetka this Sunday, 5/18. Please continue to pray for them in their final days of preparation. Confirmands of the Day, Annabel & Dillon, share about their experience in Confirmation Class. Annabel—My confirmation experience has been filled with events I will cherish. I have been shown how to face my fears and prevail, how to accept people with open arms and help others with their needs before my own. This past year, with Jesus and the Church as my guide, I have found my spiritual path to God. I vow to Him to stay true to this path and to help all who surround me. Dillon—Confirmation has been a great experience. The process of meeting with a mentor, meeting as a group and growing closer to God has been wonderful. For me, confirmation shows that a person is choosing Christ on their own and not forced to do so. With that said, the confirmation class that we have has pointed me in a good direction in starting my own life in Christ. The confirmation process is a very rewarding one and it really set a foundation for my faith in the years to come.
