Our food has changed more in the last 50 years than it has in the last 10,000. Something has got to change. We really dig this campaign by Animals Australia. Many people might say how dumb can you be to not realise how animals are being treated but its so goddamn well hidden behind smart marketing that feeds blissful ignorance and the mighty back pocket. Supermarkets created this requirement to have the cheapest food available, but if people REALLY understood what was happening, they might just reconsider, or eat less meat from kinder sources. There is a GREAT quote from Food Inc You have to understand that we farmers... were gonna deliver to the marketplace what the marketplace demands. If you wanna buy $2 milk, youre going to get a factoryfarm in your backyard. Its that simple. People have got to start *demanding* good, wholesome food of us, and well deliver; I promise you. Were very ingenious people, we will deliver. Someone told us we needed cheap meat from unhappy animals. Its time to change the message. East meat by all means (though were not into that here) but PLEASE, ask the question first was it happy?. Realise that you can eat unhappiness, and it aint that tasty.
