Our forecasters have extended the ACTION DAY FOR PARTICULATES for EL PASO COUNTY until at least 4 p.m. Saturday, June 22. This is in addition to the three Wildfire Smoke Health Advisories in effect that were extended this morning. The WILDFIRE SMOKE HEALTH ADVISORY in effect for El Paso County that precipitated the Action Day is due to smoke from a combination of the Bull Gulch, East Peak, Papoose, Trickle Mountain and West Fork Complex Wildfires. Smoke is expected to move across and impact El Paso County Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon. This smoke could cause fine particulate concentration to reach the unhealthy-for-sensitive-groups category. Go to colorado.gov/airquality for all the details.
