Our founding fathers knew this. Thats why they invented night school and promoted skills and education for all in their infant country - and that is what made it the strong and prosperous nation we became. They specifically wanted to avoid our becoming a country like England where the majority of people were poor, uneducated people. They had a grander vision that, through education, became realized.
