Whereas recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world, Eliud Owalo is on record appealing to the international community to disciplinary take on Kenyan leaders over the draconian #SecurityBill and the manner with which it was passed! Eliud Owalo argues the new law is a contravention of international treaties to which Kenya is a signatory. Kenya, which is a member state to the UN, is also on record pledging to achieve, in co-operation with the United Nations, the promotion of universal respect for and observance of human rights and fundamental freedoms, The rule of law, democracy, fundamental human rights, press freedom, freedom of assembly and association are under threat Owalo said in his letter to the UN Like I said early on, the laws are made for Kenyans! Not Mutua, nor Kamau, Nor Onyango, nor Mohammed! The concept of rights and freedoms, no matter how basic or widely accepted, carries with it corresponding responsibilities with which all the Kenyan people from all walks of life enjoy the same constitutional and civil rights guaranteed to all citizens{Equally}. At the same time, we are all EQUALLY subject to any kind of violations of the laws ,we the Kenyan people popularly voted for! It will be great betrayal if we accept draconian laws made at the bedroom of politicians at the expense of the one we were CONSULTED and VOTED!
